I remember a magazine doing a 1/4 mile time of around 15.5 or so. I expect to see people around here in the 16s or above, either due to bad driving or worn down engines (or both).
I haven't timed mine yet, but it's probably not good.
That actually wasn't too loud. It's just a 2.5 inch exhaust with a resonator+magnaflow muffler? I wonder why mine was so loud before with a resonator/muffler (and it was 2.25 inch).
So all you guys are running loud ass exhausts? :D
I'm aiming for a quiet one that still gives good enough performance. We'll see after I get my header :)
Oh yeah, since you're auto, while the mod may not be easy, it's certainly cheap. Try shimming your accumulators. Your transmission will last longer and you'll have quick shifts!
With everyone being so anti-toyota nowadays, it's nice to see them winning a race. Honestly I don't care if Toyota did it or they paid someone to do it, it's still in their name and at least I'll stop having to hear people whine about Toyota in general.
Of course they're louder. The stock system is small and crush bent, and has the most restrictive mufflers ever. It may not look stock, but for sound, Tanabe is easily one of the quietest. I'd go with a BIC DP/Tanabe Catback :)
I can't imagine how loud that is. How do you drive it around? (referring to how you deal with it and how others deal with it, or more importantly, the cops :))
