Did some tuning on my car 516HP

Question for those who know. Do you brake boost the car before hitting start button so that the low end numbers are realistic? The dyno didnt load the car at all untill it started to make boost, thats why it looks so laggy. But on the street i easily see 5+psi at 3200ish. If i hit the trans...

    Time to rebuild my differential

Yea drain plugs got a bunch of metal on it. But the diff has over 180k on it and it hasn't been touched in the last ten years I owned the car. Prolly never was. I see Yukon makes gears for our cars and I think they make 3.73 also. I want to stay 3.73. I gotta get it further apart to see whats...

Yes a crush sleeve eliminator is definatly going in. Driftmotion is cheaper before shipping then my dealer $339 to $380. I got it out and i pulled the cover off, There was still around 2 quarts of fluid in it so thats a good sign. I dont see anything obvious other then i can spin the...

    Time to rebuild my differential

Well, i had to call my tuning session on the dyno early when my car was letting out a horrid howl under even the slightest throttle. Thought it was the TH350, put it on jackstands and its definitely the differential. Pissed cause i didnt get to tune anything over 20psi. Still made 515hp to the...

    Chunks' Build

Went to the dyno today. Was Really good, and kinda bad.... The good news is my car made 406 WHP on the first pull at 16psi completely untuned. After tweaking the fuel and timing at 16psi it made 465WHP. Then after a bunch of runs, tuning, and a little more boost it made 516whp on 20PSI Heres...

High compression high RPM 7M-GE build

Considering even changing stock main caps from one block to another "should" be line bored because there no longer matched to the block im sure a one piece girdle would need to be line bored to ensure proper clearances and alignment. I really can't wait for this to be done and see how it does!

High compression high RPM 7M-GE build

Unless im reading his post wrong, I think the problem is that the valves kissed the piston with the timing belt still on and timed as the motor would normally run. Not with the valves held at full lift and rotating the crank to check for interference.
