i agree. you have such a nice, clean looking motor and you look at the bay and it looks like shit. not bashing at all. but you should do some wire clean up.

ive actually sone this before way back in 2000. I too was afraid of the plate being warped so i disassembled the whole plate. I got a drill press and got a peice of 2 x 6 inch would to set the plate on top of. I used a four 1/4" holes. two on top and 2 on the bottom.

in you will need the following,
lex afm housing. remove your old AFM and its a pug and play on the Lex AFM housing.
550 injectors
fuel controller, ie., SAFC II
wideband for data logging.
and of course the supporting mods like exhaust but you say you already have that stuff.

you DP and turbo elbow is gonna be your restrictions.
do like what you said, install one at a time and drive around before installing the next part just so you know if there is a problem with the install and part.
BTW, you mention a rebuilt motor? what are the specs? pics?

well im gonna say the same thing that everybody else is saying, you need a piggy back fuel controller, ie., SAFC. So you know what to change on the SAFC you'll need a wideband with a display or better yet a data logger.

USDM 550 injectors
Zeitronics ZT-2...
