this could happen i suppose. im not by any means an expert on carbon fiber but many people underestimate its capabilities. it has been used for aircraft for many years and is very strong and durable. if you use a few layers(depending how thick those sleeves are) it should easily with stand both...

so i have a retro fitted compressor. i recently recharged the system. wehn the car is parked the ac will work fine. it is nice and cold. when i drive around town at about 45-50mph, whether im in 4th or 5th gear the ac still blows nice and cold between 42*60*. here is where the problem comes in...

not to burst your bubble but how do you plan to get the sleeve off of the pipe you bent after it is hardened? even with wax or something as a barrier i dont see it working out too well especially if you shrink it. i dont see how it will work without cutting a slit in the sleeve, which defeats...

that is a good point but his is also a hard top..and targas are heavier. im not saying they weigh the same but do you think my 88 targa is close to his 91 hardtop. or you think all the extra stuff on the new ones outweighs the extra stuff needed for targa cars. and obviously i know the 90+...

i have an 88 turbo targa all stock body and interior. it weighs 3560lbs with me in it (i weigh 190lbs)

not really. most people go na-t or swap to gte. if it was me i would just replace the hg and torque properly until you can afford the swap. but im sure there are na guys that will argue with that logic
