You can use it on any OBD1 and OBD2 car. just follow the diagrams that come with it and wire it up.

Yes it is good. I've been using it on customers cars for a bit now and its better then the AFC. Only thing that I wish AEM would change is the way it changes timing. It only retards timing not advance it. The AFC will advance timing as you take fuel but with out a way to control it.

Try to reverse the cam sensors. Unplug the front one and change it to the back and the back to the front. Does the car have any ugrades? injectors? How cold of a spark plug are you using?

Sounds like the water pump. From time to time those do go out. It's best to replace it with a mechanical fan setup.
