Well the alternator is fairly new, like less than 3,000 miles. and the battery is too. I replaced the battery last nite cuz the car would run out of battery power while i was driving it. This morning the voltage meter read 8 volts and was at 6 by the time i made it to work, and the wipers barely...
I did a quick u turn in traffic today and looked down to notice the sudden movement had caused my Emergency brake light and Battery Light to turn on. I do not notice any difference in driveability, but it's still very annoying! Does any1 have a logical idea to what happened?:1zhelp: Any idea How...
uhh... is this a trick question? Coilovers are always better than shocks bro. That's day 1 stuff. Every real race car on or off road is using some sort of coil over in one form or another. Do Quote me on this...:naughty:
Thanks for the referance! but I'm gonna have to say they are a little unaccurate with their research. My car is definately the Mahagony Pearl; according to the chart that color was only available in 1989. But when you click the link and look at the URL the only number in it is an 86...hmm. I'm...
:1zhelp: Can someone tell me the name of my paint color? its an 86.5. It's the darker almost purple looking color, but not the dark red burgandy... Here is a picture. I'm sick of people calling it purple:cry: ...Please Tell me the name is blank blank Red...
I was saying you definately want ABS on snow because its so slick. Without it you are likely going to lock up the brakes every time you press the pedal down. Since there is no traction, the tires never recieve any stoping friction. You can pump all you want, but you can't see or feel your wheel...
I see where your coming from on Dry Weather Racing, but I'm gonna have to say that statements incorrect... Full on race cars are equipped with hi-performance brakes that are power assisted but still no ABS. Hi Performance Street cars like viper, ferrari, lamborghini are equipped with hi...
UH, ABS is Bad... Why? cuz it's making driver inputs for you when you may not want it too. You only want to remove it if your an experienced driver that will drive competitively.
Here's an example:
Your drifting through a corner nicely and it's time to mash the brakes real quick for a weight...
:icon_conf my stock head bolts were re-torqued to 85lbs. Seems to be fine so far... But i think i read somewhere that 72lbs was perfect for stock headbolts, and i think the ARP's are supposed to be around 100lbs. (Factory Torque is something like 63-67lbs i think) Good luck...
Woa Woa... That water fall sound is exactly what again? And how do i fix it? upon initial startup., My car has the little waterfall sound behind the dash for about a minute or 2 :icon_surp
I'm rolling the Tokico with TEMS now and they seem Okay at best. Soft enough for daily driving but aint a set of coil overs... I'm ordering a set of the Tein flex n1 coilovers for mine in about 2 weeks or less, maybe you would want my old setup?? They are new shocks too, springs are aftermarket...
