Same thing happened to my last motor bro. I think your headgasket gave out and your engines sucking in water where it shouldnt now. I bet if you run it a bit more you could throw a rod like i did... sorry for your misfortune man, I really feel your pain:nono:
Not sure what you mean by calling it slow... It is slow... Until a car runs atleast a 13sec 1/4 mile and has a perf. LSD in it, it's poop. I now call my Supra the Poopra... But it's still the best commuter car for me:) I can drop the clutch mid-turn and iniate a little power over drift still...
Hey, aint that funny. I did the Exact Same thing you did. Just put in a JDM 7MGE and it already has a rod knock after about 500 miles. I'm about 7K invested in to this piece of sh*t already... I hope to god it's a rod bearing and I can fix it soon! That goes for both of us.
If I could do it...
:icon_conf well hopefully it's something more minor and fixable... like a rod bearing? I took video of my 'morning startup' and I'm posting it tonite in hopes someone can help. It Makes a low end rod knock sound when starting up and it last for about 2 seconds. There is lots of valve chatter at...
duno if this is relevant or not. But i just installed a new motor and ended needing a new flywheel with my new clutch. Because of time and cost I ran it down to my buddy's machine shop and had it turned in about 20 minutes for $30 even. Call your local machine shops or any1 that would have a...
Ya, it's an Ebay Special... The Motor is now Running, Finaly! We had an Injector leak last nite and are pretty sure it's a seal. Addressing that tonite. I got a whole lot of pics I'm gonna post, I'm at work now, but tonite for sure.
The engine sounds absolutely smooth and new. All the...
I also thought my rear carrier bearing was blown since my rear end would knock a bit during slower turns, but it is'nt so I'm afraid my problem is in the LSD... Solution?: I'm gona have get an aftermarket LSD with alot of bite.
So far so good; although not coming together as fast as planned because we've had to stop the show several times to wait for parts. But it is coming together.
-put in new timing belt, clutch, and turned my 5speed flywheel, torqued the headbolts too. my original motor mounts seem to bolt up to...
...agreed, but please enlighten me. what trouble is most likely to occur when doing the intake swap? And what adjustments might I be making to get it to run smooth?
We ended up swapping the intake manifold as well as the throttle body in order to get my original wiring harness to connect to engine. Because the other intake manifold's connecter didnt mate up to my harness and I'm thinking this would save me some time messing with wires... Any thoughts on this???
hmm... all this is gonna help. Last night we got the engine out, now we need to get the two engines next to eachother and compare. I Will do that tonite and I will take a some Pics of the motor(s) so you Supra Gurus can put the smack down on this project! Thanks Again, the support is good here....
