Just made my reservation. 72.00 plus tax. Tax is 10.00? That is highway robbery.
No biggie though. I thought the hotel tax was high here.
Starting to get pumped for the meet!
Car was disgusting with all those fat ass Ohio and KY bugs.
Rims are Borbet, can't remember the model number. I will have it somewhat clean for Chitown.
Hope to see the Cinncy guys up there, god knows I put my miles on to go to KY.
I registered awhile ago. Planning on 400rwhp at the dyno with increased boost.
Need more Michigan guys, I'll buy the first round (and maybe the 2nd) once we roll in.
The only one that has a good excuse for not showing is Adam. The rest of you, get your cars going and lets have a nice Supra...
Who is attending the Chicago meet this year?
My plan is to leave Friday afternoon/evening and return on Sunday.
I am going to stay here http://www.chi2k5.mid-westsupras.com/index.php?go=hotel
Right now there are two of us driving out together and I would like to see more.
Getting in...
^^
Thanks for chiming in for the over 40 crowd, though we appear to be few and far between.
Didn't Sting say it 20 years ago.
"I want my, I want my, I want my MK3"
Jonez and I didn't go through all that work, for me to sell. I have been wanting this car since the day it was purchased.
Michigan guys, lets be ready for Chicago!
Just wondering. I saw the response in the email but by the time I got here it was gone.
As I have stated before, if I wanted an MK4 I would buy one. I, as most of us here (I hope), don't think the MK4 is the best thing since sliced bread.
It is a wonderful car indeed and did move Toyota...
The KBB value is not relevent to our cars or for that matter, well maintained BMW, Mecerdes, Corvettes ect.. of that era.
Since I can count the number of Supra's on one hand that I have seen driving around here in the last year (not counting people I've met through the forums or at meets) I...
A guy came up to me in a parking lot today complimenting my Supra. We talked for a few minutes and then he asked me how much I would sell it for. I told him I would need to see a check for at least 12K and even then probably would not be willing to part with the car,
He gave me his business...
25+ on the freeway with the AC on. Under 20 around town. I think the bigger turbo (SP61GT) has increased my mileage (harder to hit positive manifold pressure). I averaged 23 on a trip with 350 miles freeway and 90 miles around town.
I don't beat on the car on a regular basis though.
I had DP/Lex/550 with stock fuel and was fine running 12psi. Don't go nuts cranking up the boost on stock fuel. The Walbro and AFPR are just insurance until you get to a certain HP level then manditory, but good insurance in my opinion.
