Don't assume you're coolant level is fine because the overflow bottle has liquid in it, open up the radiator cap (when it's cold!) and check where it matters!

If you look at the wiring diagram, disconnect the harness off of the factory alarm (above steering column) one of the pins (i think orange / black, but don't quote me) goes to the starter kill relay, stick a paperclip in there, and run a wire to a ground while you try and start the car

My guess is rod knock Definitely sounds like something where you should avoid running the engine, take it apart and find out! Maybe someone else can pinpoint it better with some more detail from you, like when did it happen? Under load?

A DDP splits the outlet of the turbo, from the outlet of the wastegate, the effect is eliminating the extra flow and turbulence from having to join the exhaust when the wastegate opens
