I just sold my accord.
I believe im having symptoms of a BHG. Oil looks thin almost looking like chocolate milk. Coolant reserve tank always goes empty in about a half week of driving. So i want to save the head from it getting in any worst condition before it ends up like the one i have shaved...
thats just a spare head i got from a local guy. its just to get my car on the road until i can get forge internals for the block. then port the head that is still good in my car now.
lol i see. ok so do i stay with standard spark plugs or do i need to change them up to iridium now?
lets not forget, IF i put this head on, its only going to be on for about a month or 2.
The guy at the shop said the head was warped and that they needed to take that much off. The owner of AMS seemed kinda like he didn't care. Probably because they only work on domestic racing motors.
I took the head to AMS by the state fair grounds. Head has never been shaved before. Where did you take your head? I've heard of C&S and I'm thinking of taking the head that's in my car to them.
I'm lost and confused. Don't want to risk anything bad to the engine, it only has 130k on the engine and is still solid. I just wanted to replace the head gasket the proper way. Now I don't trust shops here in milwaukee with my engine.
There is a place that sells 100 octane or was it 1 something. But I've been pumping regular unleaded for about a year. So I'll switch my gas up as soon as I fire up my baby. I'm thinking of throwing this bad head out now. I hate the sight of it now. More money to spend.
Turbo habanero in wisconsin we don't have many 7m laying around in the junk years like down there in Cali. I've been in fresno junk yard and man there its a lot. By the way, any luck in getting your car back?
So the machine shop shaved off too much. 18 thousandths on an inch. I will be using the stock head gasket "felpro" along with Aaron's ARP head studs and exhaust stud repair kit. Hopefully it last me through Spring until i finish my other head. I know I shouldn't do this but i need to get my car...
