I saw a pic on the net a year ago about a guy who raised his cowl about an inch . Rasing it an inch made a huge difference in the cars lines and made the car even sexier. Anybody done this? Anybody seen this car (red, or white I think)? Pics?????
Hmmmm...I was thinking that if it works with the Ron R. long runner I could make more room for a bigger air box im thinking of building. YES!!!!:icon_bigg !
MK3 1JZ Koyo:
Core: 14 3/4" x 25" x 2 1/16"
Top/Bottom Header: 2 3/8" x 25 15/16"
S14 SR20DET/KA24DE Koyo:
Core: 14 3/16" x 25 3/8" x 2 1/16"
Top/Bottom Header: 2 3/8" x 26 5/16"
It seems as though the only difference between the s14 radiators are the top connectors.
Can anyone...
Mine looks exactly like this one for the SR20DET (w/ the same radiator cap included)...I guess that solves that.

Judging from past experience and other comparisons the koyo would be thicker, I think mine would be equivilant to a Fluidyne.
I think the order of thickness (at least according to MK3 sizes) goes Fludyne being the smallest (a little thicker than stock), Koyo (medium) then PWR (thicker) and...
that may be true but after you hold it for second or two soundn't it be able to catch up to what ever you are doing? There's a big difference in running 6 and 7 thousand and you can tell that by just listening to the engine.
Im not sure what you mean by quick rev but I've done that more than once and held it for second or two but it seems like the engine dosen't want to breath any higher. Yes this was in neutral and on the stock tach but I have been around 7,000 while racing though.
I don't have a digital camera :(
but......here is the package I got http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=260015827415&ih=016&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT
The overflow tank is awesome, it a cylinder style and was painted red and happened to match the supras...
Not the one I have, the koyo unit may have it. Either way you can buy a B&M tranny cooler and your still total cost will still come out cheaper than getting a MK3 Koyo radiator.
I read about someone putting one in thier car, so I said what the hell since the koyo got hacked beyond repair. Tested fitted it the other day to see if it would fit and behold, similar dimensions. It seems I may have to get a longer top coolant hose (I used my old chasis while my other is the...
My stock motor and ecu can rev to 7,500, it looks like the previous owner cut a wire on the ecu harness. I can look at it and post what wire it is when I get it back from the shop.
Oh and this is on a 88 turbo motor...or I think it is, looks like the motor was replaced as well. Ill have to...
