I used to raise these guys and they are truely intelligent and smart creatures. Not very quick, but smart. This video however is faked for sure. But awsome anyways.
Having done the upgrade myself (2jz) I chose that route partially because there are way more performance parts and options available for the 2jz than the much less common 1jz. The extra 1/2 liter is nice too. Both motor are damned good and I have a buddy that has a 1jz that is damn nice. But...
Yup, I've been all over this with everyone I know in my area and other wards. It's such a frustration knowing that the previous city council didn't want or even begin to realize the businesses and people that NEED and enjoy motorsports in our city just to survive. Not to mention the results of...
I've seen the wavyness on my old 7M and after ALOT of time my CPS and wiring was brittle and not happy. It was a bitch to hunt this down because sometimes the sensor was giving faulty signals and sometimes not. Mix this with the poor and intermittant crispy wiring and it's a perfect arrangement...
Your timing is kinda surreal really to me. Your in Calgary, as am I. You will have 3 MKIII's so DID I up until day before yesterday when I started saving all the good parts from them and chopping the unibodies up (they are both crashed, not by me) so that I can have a nice neat garage once...
Hell I'm the original owner of my 1990 MKIII that now has a 2jz in it that I swapped myself. I have had more than my fair share of misfortunes with the car.....But DAMN if I don't feel great after the smallest drive and a little boost!
Being an ex game developer this could be a result of more than just a few things both both within the developers control and completely out of their hands.
The only thing to be sure is that regardless of the reasons and excuses given this will hurt them. Perhaps not in initial sales but surely...
Forgot one thing about the 300zx........very difficult to work on or get to things in and around the engine bay. My brother owns one and it is seriously a nightmare to work on/upgrade.
Well,it was the last track night of the year here in Calgary and I once again had a really good night other than traction.
I seem to be able to "mile a hour" the living hell out of my runs but my times and 60 foots are still not very good.
My last run of the evening was a 13 flat @ 118MPH. So...
Way back in the day when my stereo was a big important part of my car (Like around 17 years ago) I had 4 10" subs mounted in the spare tire well just like that. They were isobaricly (sp?) fired, opposed and man they could seriously boom your guts out.
Nowadays I don't even have a stereo in my...
Another side benefit I have noticed from beefing up mine, although a number of other changes were also made......I no longer have wheel hop of any type at all ever. I run 285's out back too.
Here's my DIY arm mod, they are not the prettiest or anything, but they are definitely strong then...
Well, I got sick of having no bumper today so on goes the old one which I still am not at all satisfied with but I figure it is better than nothing for now. When the snow starts flying here I'm gonna revisit it.
But it does look better than no bumper at all.
I totally agree it never sounded like it was capable of idling on it's own never mind delivering the nice smooth power the black MKIII was. Enjoyed the front low lap of the bumper cam at the 5 min mark. Overall a nice vid. The toyota's sounded like they were running the nicest outa the lot.
It's a bad thing, I can't properly adjust my camber at the moment due to the camber bolts being stuck, so when my car squats down it only makes the situation even worse. Meaning less contact patch. I will adjust for less camber but have to get the bolts on hand first since I will be forced to...
