We had the gutted car weighed with cage and N/A motor. 2884LB's...
Tear down down finished.
Dry Ice followed by Goo Gone and lots and lots of elbow grease
The car was really fun in this state with the N/A 7M.
I drove the car down to COTA in Austin, from Dallas, for the first F1 race :biglaugh:

Any grown man can handle a Mk3 without power steering. It might not be comfortable but definitely manageable. Plus, if a wreck was bad enough to push the crash bar in, I highly doubt you would be driving the car anywhere
I've been thinking about tucking a few more things while my car is down. Has anyone done this? I'm not talking about using the na reservoir. I was thinking about mounting a reservoir further up front above the intercooler and hide it with a carbon block off plate. Will that be too low? Any...
