My brother and I both have MK3's and decided to build a 3rd car for mile racing and fun on the street.

Sergio's

Mine

We picked up a nearly stock 1990 Supra N/A 5spd Hartop (THE car we had been looking for). This Supra might have been too good of a platform to start off with with nice interior, good paint, cold ac, and being good on gas.

Heres the car as it came into our possesion 06/09/12.

Got the car weighed at a truck stop. I later found out the scale wasn't very accurate :icon_mad:

Full interior, 1/4 tank of gas, no occupants.

Sold the full interior and got to work...

Tear down down finished.

Dry Ice followed by Goo Gone and lots and lots of elbow grease

The car was really fun in this state with the N/A 7M.

I drove the car down to COTA in Austin, from Dallas, for the first F1 race :biglaugh:

Just got a nice carbon drive shaft from Drive Shaft Shop. We'll be testing on the dyno vs stock/aluminum and on the street.

You and your brother both have beautiful MK3's. The race car build is cool too. What was the purpose for the dry ice? I've never seen it used before for a car application.

I assume the dry ice causes the sound deadening to contract, and 'crack' away from the panels?
If so, that's very interesting.

Yes, the dry ice freezes the sound deadening allowing you to cleanly break it away or in some areas just lifting it off.

Nice car Fernando! Is that the motor out of Sergio's that's in the car?
It is and now with a bigger turbo. It may there to stay, too. He's strongly considering going 2j in the black car.

Yep. Video shows 717rwhp for the local sand bagging lol. We'll have dyno sheets after testing the new drive shaft.

That's awesome lol
