The MAFT Pro calculates "Flow Error" when you have a MAF and MAP both connected. You can see it on the LCD and log it. The FE smoothing simply makes the graph more readable. It has absolutely no effect on the tune.

Generally, Vf = 2.5 volts means the tune is correct (at that RPM/Throttle). This is how to tune the part throttle on a Supra (apparently).
Dr Jones has some tuning info for this stuff.
Bob
turn PT tracking off by setting both of the TPS thresholds to 4.9
FE smoothing has no effect on the tune, it controls the 'smoothing' of some data that is in the logging stuff. If you have your AFM/MAF installed, the pro can compare its signal and the Speed-Density calculated airflow to...
looked at your log.
Vf is changing, which tells me that you have your stock O2 connected.
But Correction factor % is changing, which means that your PT tracking is turned on.
These 2 can't work together. The ECU will fight to keep the AFR at 14.7, the PT tracking will try to achieve your...
The auto-tuning is just a way to connect both speed density hardware and the AFM/MAF and log a long drive. Then parse the log and calculate corrections to the VE table.
The driveability idea is something Dr Jonez and I are discussing to fix the fueling lag when you are boosting at part...
Perhaps a software booboo......... let me dig into it. You did clip the correct resistor
in the Pro.....?
Give me your settings (TM base, and TM correct) and your MAFT Pro version.
Make sure your input frequency looks stable...... (in tunerpro)
Bob
Use a voltmeter and measure the voltage between the orange and purple wires.
(10 pin harness)
This voltage must match the "O2" reading on the Pro sensor display.
A thought for tuning is to connect the unit with the AFM, and run in AFC mode, logging data from the Pro. Then use this data...
The resistor takes the place of the brown wire.
use the resistor, and disconnect the brown wire.
On the updates to the documentation, I agree. All the newer software releases are 'beta'.... The software gets updated so guys can have cool new features as soon as possible. The...
I am completing the testing of 4.80 (basically 4.65 with some loose ends cleaned up) I will be updating the manual, and the tunerpro files.
On my car (Ok, a stealth) the idle is dead steady, no tip in issues, and it drives really nice.
So, like many speed density systems, there is more...
The Response page is supposed to be for tip-in, step-in,.... etc.
Those with choppy cams may get some MAP enrichment at idle which is not good. Plus if the car starts to idle poorly, the MAP enrichment can trigger and make it worse.... So there is a MAP TPSmin and MAP RPMmin to shut off the...
If the timing monitor is reading 100+ then there is a math 'issue' in the pro software. An easy fix once we figure out when it happens.
The enhanced Tunerpro is still in process, I am waiting on the next beta....
For now lets make sure everyones Tunerpro is working properly so that we can...
Leave the load source at "Use MAP" unless you have the patience to re-work the VE table. That option is for those odd cars with really radical cams that can't get a decent tune using the standard speed density algorithm.
(this new feature is known as "hybrid speed density" and is...
It doesn't really matter, since all the aux mode tune settings are 0. (unless you changed them) (well except boost control.... you running that yet?)
Bob
its odd that the 3.5" Aluminum setting was off, we use that sensor a lot and it should be very close. How is it installed? What airfilter, etc.....
Bob
a couple ideas.
On my dodgeabishi (Stealth) the ECU has a couple things it does if the idle is outta whack, including large changes to its idle fueling.... But off idle its back to business as usual.
It could be that your ECU is making a large correction for idle, but the minute you step...
