    MAFT Pro Vs. VPC/AFC/E01

You would not lose anything except the resolution of the E01. But what you lose there, you make up for 10 fold in the other options of MAFt-pro.

    Bigger Flapper?

The only thing that makes any sense to me is that it increases the efficiency of the turbine so much, that the stock gate is effectively too small to manage it. I know the GroupA cars had a 30% larger flapper, and a divorced downpipe. Porting should help, but shifting FCO up a pound or two won't...

    oil in itercooler....!!!!

Agreed, how many miles are on the engine? -Jake

    Bigger Flapper?

True. I'm still trying to figure out how the ddp causes creep. Because it should do the opposite, since there is virtually no restriction on the flapper, versus a stock setup where it empties into a wall...

That looks nice Jake! (well, from the front ;))

    Bigger Flapper?

Right, the problem is creep. I would bypass the ebc for now and do what I suggested in your other thread, then you can put the ebc back in the picture. For now, I'd put the stock wastegate actuator pressure hose back on, straight from the turbo to the actuator, and tune out fco. With our ddp...

    struggling with boost controller

ICE. I would recommend that you try and "tune out" the FCO (code 34) By turning the set screw in your AFM. If you remove the soft aluminum plug in the side, and turn the screw CCW a little at a time, just until you can let the tranny shift without hitting fuel cut. -Jake

    Bigger Flapper?

Creep, or spike? * sorry, I just read your other thread.*

    cooling fiasco

Replace the cap and report back. Also, I'd HIGHLY recommend retorquing the head if it has gotten hot at all since the MHG was installed.

    Bigger Flapper?

The wastegate has about a 2mm lip all around that it seats against, so you shouldn't have any problems as long as you make sure you still have about 1mm for it to seal against. Just out of curiosity, why are you porting it? It only needs to be bigger if you are experiencing boost creep, which...

    Hks stopper headgasket

I compare the surface of the block to that of a nearby babies arse, and as we all know, it doesn't get any smoother than a babies butt. But seriously, the finished product is ridiculously smooth when we get done! The local machine shop has an RA gauge and Reg's lapping tool makes the deck far...

    need help with codes

You will get a momentary 51 for the duration that the gas pedal is depressed, as soon as you remove the foot, the code goes away. ;)

    water injection

20 psi is no problem with water injection. It looks like you are running stock injectors and you have no electroninc control over your AFR. That means that you should be hitting fuel cut around 15 psi, so how are you spiking to 20 without hitting it? You'll need a wide band for tuning, as...

    Oil temp is HIGH

J I thought the same thing about the sensor location. I would measure the temp at the pan, filter or cooler before I put it there. Routing should have little effect, since he's not running a t-stat, although I would suggest plummbing one in so the oil has a chance to warm up, if the exhaust is...

    Hks stopper headgasket

Great info J. I got sick and tired of dealing with machine shop boch jobs, so I got one of Reg's lapping tools and I've been doing them my self with great results. I still suggest going with copper coat on each side of the gasket prior to assembly. I also highly suggest a retorque after the...

    exhaust smokes on deceleration

It sounds to me like the piston ring seal on the turbine shaft of the turbo. However, with a non-functional O2 sensor, the car will run quite rich, which will cause the gas smell. There are a few reasons why you can't smell it on accel. First would be the fact that you're moving and the guy...

    need help with codes

Hey, A code 51 is generally a sign of an improperly adjusted TPS. If you do a search for TPS adjustment, you will find a well documented method of how to adjust it and get rid of the code. It is also a diagnostic tool for verifying that the AC clutch system is working correctly...
