Keeping quench area in mind, you can go with an 84mm bore HG and be okay at 0.020 That means you have a lot of size options to choose from through Cometic.
Honestly? I can't tell you from a computer screen whether or not your head is fubar. If its blown bad your head will need more work...
1) Gear wrenches are a lifesaver. Other than that just basic tools. oh and a **********TORQUE WRENCH*********.
2) Depends on their condition, metal ones can be reused. You NEED all of them. Don't try to reuse paper gaskets or others here (apart from myself) will slap you, hard. Your cam...
I rebuilt my starter last week. If there is material left on your starter brushes, just clean the coil and brushes up a bit, if not replace them.
I purchased a new plunger and 2 new contacts for 29 CAD last week from an Automotive electrical shop in town. All the Toyota starters use the...
If you end up running stock clamps again make sure you get yourself a good pair of LONG needle nose pliers. Curved ones are a godsend too.
Curved + long? I'm getting myself a little too excited.
Well yea. And then you have to make sure the gears line up with the timing belt pulley. And wouldn't the cover not have fitted properly?
Hopefully that's not what the original poster has gone and done.
Now that I think about it T bolts probably wouldn't fit due to their design. :nono:
Worm clamps will work well since you can access one screw from the front and another from the passenger side.
Although they don't have the ability to expand like the spring clamps do, they are just...
I used worm clamps, as if you get the screws in the right direction. they are very accessible. Better again would be T-Bolt clamps, as worm clamps aren't really optimal.
Have fun with that fucker. Make sure to lube up both ends with a bit of spit before slipping it on. Works good.
Champion do ship internationally, but I'd end up paying the same after shipping and customs. Its just kinda shitty.
I know Nashman has a spare block that was siezed at his house, if I end up needing a few new squirters I can jack them from there.
Enough of this. Totally off topic.
The opening pressure of **working** oil squirters. My machinist just pulled them out to bore/hone and I was gonna get him to shoot some compressed air through them.
So far I have just told him to check that they won't be open at idle and that the check valves aren't fk'd.
Thank you!
I did a lot of waiting between search topics this morning while looking for info on oil squirters. I never did find the info though. :icon_conf
I whipped up version 1.0 awhile back. ma71supraturbo has the newly updated 2.0, with super mega dyslexia-infused-typing decoder action, but even with that updated niceness of a translator it still comes out fucked.
I went for a ride in Ryan's car on Saturday. Oh boy its got some pull to it...
If you had READ THE THREAD, you would have found that these are going to be an estimated 200USD for a stock thickness gasket, and 300USD for a 2mm thick HG.
This is comparable to an HKS Stopper, which in theory, the SCE Titan should match in sealing quality.
