This did start with it being some info I got on th uhp but this has exploded into a thread about running from the cops.
I was in a rollover accident about 3 years ago when I was 15. I was moving to Cali and this happened. The jeep I was driving went end over end once as in tail over front...
Most of the police agencies have deals with domestic companies here such as chevy, ford, gm etc. So they do have others. I am seeing less and less of the crown vics and more of others though.
I have an uncle thats an Orange County Sheriffe and I still don't belive a word he says:icon_razz But if some people reread the first post it says the average cruiser for got to add uhp which means the crown vics you see top out at 127-130mph. But the uhp is useing the new chargers and mustanges...
Only time I have seen a cop wreck was when it rear ended me. Now how many people can say they got it a wreck with a cop and had no tickets but the cop did. Yes he did write himself a ticket and had it signed by another cop.

As for the choppers they can get to spots faster...
Been looking again and this is what I found:
87 not much detail
86 manual
87 auto

I was just bsing with 2 highway officers at the state fair today and found out that the average cruiser only does 127-130mph. So that means if you can top that you can get out of there range but if you are already running you screwed. But the corvette they have will top around 175mph. Just some...
I was leaning to a stock one to do myself vs one that was already built to a point.
This is what I have found around me:
87 auto
92 man
Haven't checked craigs list yet.
