First, the new car all together :) Took two weeks to transfer everything into form the other car with help from GaboonViper85. Details in my build thread. This is my 3rd chassis with this engine/setup :aigo:
Now for the Catch install. I used dual JEGS oil separators. Two because they were...
Just wondering if anyone uses them. I've never even heard them mentioned in the MKIII community and was wondering why. They have TONS of features and I guess the newer one (SMT-8) even has wireless capability! which i think is pretty cool and convenient since i already have a huge number of...
Just that. Car will only turn over when the driver door is open.
Obviously something is linked with the door switch. When the door is closed everything turns off like it should, just doesn't crank.
The previous owner said it had an aftermarket alarm however i have found no signs of that...
Where would water in the intercooler come from? Is this from condensation? I found a good 4-5 fl. oz. in the intercooler. Its beginning to rust my $1000 intercooler kit from the inside out :3d_frown:
I take it there was a breif transition period in the 89 crossover. I'm a bit confused on some this.
My new car was built 11/88 IIRC. It is a 1989 vehicle. It has the torque strut mount (which is good cause i have a BIC one from my '88) and uses Pre-89 motor mounts. What else is from the...
Keep in mind this will happen over the course of only two weeks, its all i have time for.

Its about that time. My car was hit in a parking lot late last year and followed up with a deer hit on the...
I made my 500 mile journey back home and lost 3 gears of my transmission along the way (1st, 2nd, 3rd). I need to do a full engine swap (into another chassis) and other things however don't have the space to do it. ill need it for about 2 weeks.
Looking to rent/use someone's garage. I have my...
I don't ever watch these really. This is the first year i watched it all the way through (mostly cause the girl wanted to) but man, what a load of crap. Anybody see these? It was more of a dedication/ceremony for the shitty movie twilight.
Best part about it was Eminem's performance and when...
NEW: it appears on my 200 mile journey back to school last night (about 2/5 of the way home) I lost First gear in the process. My guess would have to be large metal particles getting caught in the existing gears causing the loud noises and violent vibrations. It also explains my inabililty to...
Well i noticed yesterday during a hard gear change a grinding noise. It worried me at first then i just figured i left my foot on the clutch pedal too much and caused a violent chatter effect. (this happens with the RPS 3200lb 6 puck sprung).
Today i did another hard gear change which led my...
It appears i've developed quite the knocking noise in the bay area again. Now for those of you who don't know or remember I got this last year thinking it was rod knock but turned out to be POS OBX adjustable gears causing the noise. This time however stock gears are in place. Keep in mind this...
Would like this in a tech section to avoid BS answers but not sure where to put it.
I know theoretically gasoline has a very low freezing point, somewhere in the -90+*F range from what i've read. However, with todays additives and such especially water, at what point does the temperature...
Changed out my brake master as it had a steady slow bleed of pressure when constant pressure was applied. Changed it out with a reman. one and now i have no brakes and engine is stumbling :aigo:
All i did was swap resevoirs, and unbolt/rebolt the 4 nuts and brake lines. I attempted to...
Got a JEGs oil separator. Seems like a good way to go besides its size. I comes with 1/4" NPTx 3/8" hose barb. I could bump it to .25"NPTx.5"Barb if i want to however the PCV is 5/8" from what I remember. Am i wrong? If not will this size drop have any consequences...
Seems as though the broken clutch fork i encountered last week caused the vibarating issue. When it broke, only one side broke off which is why i was still able to engage 1st (barely). Later when trouble shooting the other side snapped as well identifying the problem.
I replaced the fork today...
One, its been through a fire so it was slightly warped but after i hit a deer at 60MPH it did it in. Just thought the way if failed was interesting....and surprising....
Keep in mind, when i hit the deer the pass. headlight was up which pushed the crossmember support attached to the radiator...
Edit: BTW this is a RPS 3200lb PP 6puck spring combo
Just my luck as normal with cars. I was driving around and lost pressure in the clutch. I can barely get it in first, it goes all the way to the floor and engages very violently.
Its been slowly leaking fluid awhile now, i think there...

First off, im VERY excited about this lol. Its sad i know, but its my life. I was getting tired of this long drawn out algebra problems associated with my engineering degree. So many mistakes, takes FOREVER. Not anymore :)
(My justification is we can use MATLAB to...

Been waiting for this for 3 weeks now. Figures my car was totalled in the process. Came back looking good minus UPS handling/care. See below. Also, the compressor wheel is slightly marked up somehow:aigo:, can't get a good enough picture of that though.
What i'm...
