Thats kind of a false statement there. The sub doesnt really car too much about what the box is tuned to. For instance, the "recommended tuned freq." for a sub is just a general recommendation from the manufacturer that they feel will please the common listener. Most often this is a higher tuned...

Lol now its too small....LOL 1.2cu/ft is way small for a ported box. But for the hell of it, just give us all the dimesnions. L x W x H of the entire box. L x W x H of just the port and thickness of the wood used. Let me know and ill find out what the exact tuned frequency of the box will be...

Sounds like timing has been retarded big time... T Its combusting in the header which is keeping the turbos spooled and making them very hot.

Be sure to try and incorporate the baffles if you can. Its surprising how much more precise the sub becomes with good baffling in the box.

i have seen many of them in 15-20" diameters, but im not so sure they were at lowes or home depot... Possible a specialty landscape/construction supply yard?

Use a concrete mold for pouring footings in the ground. Any hardware store will have them, and the need just a few peices of wood, and some MDF caps made for a ends to beef them up. They are fairly cheap too...

Yes that would work... But are you sure that the sub has a displacement of .5!? My 12 displaces .15 and its not much smaller than your Type X. I dont remember it being that big! But if it is, and your math is correct, 1.3 cu/ft would be about perfect.

Nice sub there! The box is a little on the large side for a 10" type X. Ultimately i think a 1.3cu/ft box would be perfect for it minus the displacement of the sub. Im currently using a 2cu/ft box on my 12" RE and its even a bit big. I like the boxes slightly larger just to help on the bottom...
