Circuit city huh? I work there too. The only radios that communicate with the ECU are in the new GM vehicles. 2001 and up. You wont void the warranty from pulling the radio, but you will most likely tick the installer off and make him think that you caused the problem. Take it back and say you...
Damn you!!!! Seriously though, PM me next time you go! I may have a list for you lol.... Oh and you will not be allowed to leave untill you get me a Genisis amp!
Very true. He is 100% correct. A good set of RCA's is worth every penny! High end Monsters are a decent start and wont break the bank.
Alpine is actually pretty far off on the charts of audio equipment, except their head units... There they may hit the top 10.
Wow, one of the few people here in the US that i have seen that even know who hertz and rainbow are! Since you have heard of them, where in the hell can i get some here in the US? Ive been wanting some rainbow comps forever, but im not going to pay for them to be shipped over seas!
The Avic D3 is a pretty capable unit. DVD navigation is my major complaint. The fact that you have to keep the Nav DVD in the system to route or edit any directions just isnt as nice as a unit like the Eclipse. But thats something you see on the sub $1k dvd/nav systems. Other than that I was...
I sell eclipse stuff at work. They are one of the best rated nav units on the market... I say go for it! Its a killer system, lots of eq settings, plus the HDD in it will be super sweet for storing the nav maps and music.
My current setup... Mid response is oke... I wish i had the room to glass in an enclosure behind the mid, but the window already hits the magnet when i close the door :( The sound deadening sure did help though. I recommend it to anyone. It makes the ride alot more quiet as well on the high way.
I dont think you tried hard enough to make an enclosure for the comps buddy. I fit some of the largest 6.5" mids in my door behind the factory grill and my window still goes down!

IMHO, L7's arent that great. For SPL, they are hard to beat, but overall musical and sq performance is a joke. They are sloppy, and very power hungry. And worst of all they require huge amounts of air space to perform well. A 12" L7 requires at least a 4cu/ft box to really hit hard. Thats just...
Meh, go high end... Get the best you can! You have a great discount on the stuff, so take advantage of it! I work at circuit city and i bought the best kicker stuff i could afford when i built my old system.... Then i sold it all a yr later for way more than i paid for it and got some real high...
Single w6v2 would sound wonderful in a sealed box in the back of the supra! Though the Type X isnt far from the w6... Infact the Type X is a better SPL sub than the W6, but lacks in pure SQ...
My honest opinion would be to get an Image Dynamics IDQ. They are a few $ less than the W6v2's and...
They have very little "high end" equipment. They have nice prices on most main stream stuff, but have almost nothing high end. Woofersetc is one of the few online dealers in the US for a few different companies... Im just waiting for them to carry Rainbow.
