yeah my new motor doesn't have egr. The throttle brackets are actually really easy to switch as well. I did it today in about 15 minutes or so. If you by any chance need a TB I'm planning on selling the non JDM one. It does have the JDM throttle bracket on it. Thanks for the reply buddy.
Well if anyone else runs into this situation the little metal butterflys are easily interchangeable. My older model TPS and newer TB work just fine now. No Calibration Problems. Thanks for the info and the reply NashMan
That makes sense. I shouldn't have assumed that the wg was different because of the difference in boost pressure. However I do know that these guys are right about the fuel cut capability. My mods are entirely basic and I run 12 lbs of boost on and don't believe I've ever hit fuel cut aside from...
If you're using a stock CT-26 the wastegate spring is set at a certain pressure and wont go any lower. Your only options would be to try to find an actuator from an automatic (assuming yours is manual) and I believe they only hit like 6.5 lbs of boost as opposed to around 8. I'm not sure if the...
So during this top end redo that I've been working on I have noticed something very peculiar. I have had two non-original engines in my supra since buying it and when putting it back together have been mixing and matching parts using the cleanest and best looking ones. I noticed a very striking...
You line the crank notch up with zero on the timing cover before you start. then you rotate the cps until the base timing is at 10 degrees. your car will electronically adjust to 12 degrees after you pull the car out of diagnostic mode. This thread is more about getting the cps in correctly...
That is the exact information that I was trying to find. I do have the receipt from the original owner buying and installing the BIC so it is real. Is there any true way to have a DDP that vents the wastegate to atmosphere without an exhaust leak?
Has anyone else had any exhaust leak issues through an atmospheric wastegate dump tube on a divorced downpipe? I'll try to get a picture of my flange up here soon to better explain my point.
I personally had a great experience with nagasaki jdm motors. I blew the hg turning the boost up to 13 but upon opening the engine up it is incredibly clean and not trashed. I'm still in the middle of my rebuild. I caught them in a sale too so I got my 7mgte for 1000 shipped
I had the same problem on both doors. I took the panel's off and lubricated every moving part with wd-40 I know it's not technically as good as teflon lube or something like that but I had it on hand and now no power lock problems anymore.
Ok these are the best I could get. My camera doesn't have manual focus so It's a little blurred but these are the best four out of like 100 pics.

Ok the camera has to charge for like 3 minutes before i can use it. However does the wear on the backs of the bearing surfaces carry any weight in proper head operations?
I have my camshafts right here. However don't have a micrometer but can access one on monday. By looking at the pictures though Is that wear on the back of the bearing surfaces normal. Or why It would only happen at the back of the head?
I'm not sure if I do. It was my understanding that thrust means the amount the camshaft can move front and back along Its axis. I'm definitely a noob. But I'm learning as much as I can.
So I am wondering If this will be a problem down the road. My camshafts seem to have worn down some aluminum on the Inside of my head. Is it safe to continue using this head/camshafts/bearing caps? I know it's not ideal but has anyone ever had issues or not had issues involving this? It is only...
Wow that is a wealth of info. What I am saying is that If there are air gaps around that plate and my wg dump tube has been made non recirculated alot of exhaust will take the path of least resistance free of traveling through a muffler one cat and 6 feet or so of exhaust pipe and go to...
