well got it all back together last night and even installed the heat shields on the turbo manifold and turbo. had to cut a notch in the rear manifold heat shield to clear the egt sensor though. no biggie. today i pressure washed the engine with some engine degreaser. didnt go crazy. washed the...
well heres the mock up pics i took with my phone. i didnt have the whole turbo here at my house but looks like the copressor housing is gonna hit my ljm bar. doh.
well thats what happens when you use a mig instead of tig. since i got nowhere to hook up my tig my friend used the mig they have at work. he is a truck driver and they use it to weld the aluminum bumpers and stuff on the trailers and trucks when they get damaged.
well put new brushes in the grinder so we could cut the flange i made off the plate and made the back cap etc.. also dd a lil moe cleanup of the outsode of the runners to get ready for polishing. hopefully my friend can borrow the welder from work and we can get the flange and cap welded on and...
well he welded it. said he made 4 passes to make sure its sealed. way overkill. ill have to clean it up with the grinder. no big deal. lol. ill post better pics when i pick it up as ill take my digital cam with me.

nope. once its in the yard at the pick and pull thats it. nothing was missing from it except the badges. all that was wrong i could see is some fucktard busted the windshield and the pass front door had a small dent in it. car was deep maroon and mint. looked liek a damn rolls royce or something...
well was at the junkyard and found a mint 78 cressida. thing looked sweet. even the interior was mint. cant beleive it was in there. just a small dent on one of the pass doors. and i mean small. paint was mint otherwise. an obvious garage kept beauty. anyhow. since they wont sell cars one they...
good idea on the oil feed for the turbo. i would of just teed of fthe oil pressure sending unit like we do on the 5m's and 6m's etc.. but thats a great way too.
paint? for the vynil stuff you use vynil dye, it works and doesnt flake off. just has to be super clean or it wont dye the material.
not a bad build. sure is taking a long time though, i know how it is. im a broke ass too. lol
couple questions. can you elaborate on your oil feed tap location? i dont see an oil feed for the turbo. also what did you do for the drain. and another thing. i see i/c. pipes, turbo, etc.. but what are you doing for fuel? i dont see any sort of fuel management.
this is my friends 75 toyota celica he bought prolly 5 weeks ago. it had cut springs front and back, cut way too much. and some 13in eagle wheels. we did coilovers up front with 350lb springs as i had them lieing around and stock front struts for now. and then got some springs from the rear of a...
yup, it goes full lean, same as the 5m in a mk2. hook up an injector pulse monitor and run full boost in 3rd then let off and watch, 0 pulse till the rpm reachs the set point. dont recall the rpm now but thats how it works. ge and gte
wrong. when you let off the throttle the ecm cuts fuel till a designated rpm. the fuel isnt recalculated untill that rpm or the tps % increases again.
