i think clevite makes pretty good bearings. freshening heads = whatever you have money for. new valve stem seals, new valves? springs? retainers? have the head decked as well for that flatness so you can do a MHG. haha, u got a long ways to go before its on the road :)

just go with a rebuild kit for the 7mgte, so you have the lower compression pistons, which makes tuning easier. get all the electronics, fully rebuild it with good bearings, arp studs, bolts, etc, dont really bore it unless you want too, but have it honed, and decked so you can put in a metal...

i believe the pressure line feeds off of the oil pressure gauge spot thingy ma bobber and the return just goes down into a drain bung on the oil pan for the coolant idk

when my fuel pump went in my grand am, it would start, idle for a seconnd, die. did this over and over and over. my fuel pump was going in my VW, would only run if it was 60 out, or cooler. My pump is going in my bronco, when it gets hot its hard to start

diesels fuckin own my dad has an 07 dodge 2500, straight 6, 6.0L Cummins, thing is BEASTLY. 610 ft/lbs of torque stock, can push 1100 ft/lbs of torque with "the edge" controller or w/e, just gotta watch your egts. A powerstroke or duramax runs 10,000 psi fuel pressure, a cummins runs...

start out in first gear, immediately short shift to 2nd, and fully hit the gas. if your RPM's go up pretty quick w/o your speed going up proportionally... yep its toast.
