    "Exhibition of *excel*eration" ticket question...

OMG This alone was worth reading the whole thread. That's fantastic stuff right there. No but really there are some great points made here. You guys are like pros at this stuff. Supracentral makes a good case for getting representation regarding the social network aspect of the whole system...

Specifically for street use (Daily Driving) - Coilovers or Spings/Shocks combo?

I went from stock to H&R before Eibach. The front was too low. I was bottoming out everywhere. I switched to Eibachs 2 days later and they were perfect.

What's the reason to get the Marlin Crawler bushings for the shifter?

your comment was rude. so is "pull your head in". so is "spanky". you check your attitude.

    Just bought a 91 Turbo 5spd - White Sport Package 68K miles

Hey thanks man. And by the way... I am going to hunt down my old Supra. My brother described the guy he saw driving it. Sounds like the same guy I sold it to 10 years ago. I was so excited when he sent me that pic. It was the day after I had cut the deal on my new Supra. I couldn't believe it...

What's the reason to get the Marlin Crawler bushings for the shifter?

no vibration. stock knob with rubber sleeve over metal shaft. nothing to create a harmonic buzz. looks completely stock, just shorter. and by the way "The rubber isolator is there for a reason" <<<<< that right there. that makes zero sense. the stock bov is there for a reason too. the stock...

What's the reason to get the Marlin Crawler bushings for the shifter?

wow you seem like a really nice guy. all i did was remove the black stick in between the knob and the metal shaft. i suppose i've completely ruined my car now. it's almost like a salvage title now. i can't even believe i'm taking the time to type this.

    Just bought a 91 Turbo 5spd - White Sport Package 68K miles

Here are some pics of my previous Supra Turbo. I purchased this car in 1998. I knew nothing about Supras. I just really liked it. I bought it for $9,000 with 89,000 miles from a Lexus dealership. Then it began. Brand new 7M-GTE installed shortly after I purchased it because blue smoke was...

What's the reason to get the Marlin Crawler bushings for the shifter?

right. yes. because i am such a gangster. this is exactly why i just flew across the country to buy a rare pristine supra turbo. so i can lean all the way back like a poser. oh, or it could be because i just really prefer a shorter stick shift. good grief. i did not expect this when I asked this...

What's the reason to get the Marlin Crawler bushings for the shifter?

Yah I suppose it just comes down to preference. If you are on Laguna Seca and you need that extra 1/10 of a second, maybe you're right. But I just drive on the streets. I just prefer the look/feel of the much shorter stick, like the newer Supras have. From your responses above, I gather that...

What's the reason to get the Marlin Crawler bushings for the shifter?

you roll with the stock height stick? are you saying that a shortened shifter in general is not your preference? it seems that you'd be in the minority with this.

What's the reason to get the Marlin Crawler bushings for the shifter?

True, but I did this on my last Supra and loved it. I'll take the notchy shifting any day over that gawky rod sticking all the way up through the sunroof. I just drove it this morning with the new setup and I'm very glad I did it. So now that I've done the SOGI mod already, are the bushings...

What's the reason to get the Marlin Crawler bushings for the shifter?

There are so many threads about the short shifter mods and Marlin Crawler bushings that I figured we could use another one... lol. No actually I just figured on asking my own question instead of resurrecting a 2 year old thread. So I received my Momo black leather shift knob yesterday and...

    MHG question

Hi Poodles, I am sorry but I don't know what you mean by this. Let me ask this way... Right now.. stock everything under the hood. 69K miles. Original owner had head bolts torqued down to much tighter specs than factory at 46K miles. Here's my question.... if I purchase ARP studs/bolts...

Who has the highest Mileaged MK3?

I almost just started a new thread, but then realized that it probably wouldn't be very popular, since most MKIIIs have well over 100K on em. I sold mine 10 years ago with 141,000 (Brand new Toyota Dealership installed 7M-GTE at 131,000). My brother just saw it on the road here in San Diego...

    MHG question

What about this idea? Purchasing ARP studs and replacing the head bolts and torquing down correctly? Is that even possible without taking it all apart and resurfacing the head and resealing the gasket?

    MHG question

suprarich, I started a thread about switching to metal even if oem isn't blown yet. my concern is to blow the stock on and cause damage at the same time. what would be your answer to my thread question here? Head Gasket?

Specifically for street use (Daily Driving) - Coilovers or Spings/Shocks combo?

Ok so I just spent about 30 minutes reading through several coilover threads. I saw all the arguments from both sides. But pretty much everything I read talked about drifting, which I have zero (like... literally zero point zero zero) interest in. So rather than resurrecting a super old thread...

    MHG question

I knew virtually nothing about the head gasket with my previous Supra. (But remember, this was basically pre-internet days... sorta kinda). I had intake, hks dp, test pipe, hks catback, bov... so I must have been somewhere around 300hp I suppose. It sure felt like at least 300 anyway. I...

never make the mistake i did

So true. I just picked mine up from Kansas. Flew out early Thursday morning. Left Wichita KS Thursday night at 5pm and drove 432 miles til midnight. Stayed in a hotel in Tuccamcari New Mexico. Then drove 994 miles Friday (yesterday). Got home in San Diego at midnight. So I blasted across 6...

Is there something disadvantageous about this brand new 3" downpipe vs HKS?

So just to clarify for all (including myself, of course)... is a "Divorced" downpipe really that much better than a downpipe like the ones Driftmotion makes that fully replace the restrictive elbow, yet don't have the separate divorced pipe for the wastegate? Seems to me that it goes...
