No. I LOVE the MK4. Didn't used to. Back in '98 when I bought my first 91T, I had zero interest in the MK4.
In fact, it took a few years for me to warm up to them. But by now, I'd have already bought one if I could afford it.
I love MKIV Supras. Gonna own one someday, but the MKIII is a very underappreciated gem. It was way ahead of its time. My 91T still feels relevant and awesome 23 years after production. Granted it only has 73K miles, but still, the look of the MKIII is classy and well sculpted. The MKIV is a...
I placed an order with NOPI. Got a call an hour later saying they are actually not in stock.
The guy said Tokico / Hitachi is having an issue with distribution to the US and they are looking for a supplier or something and that they have no estimation of when they will be back in stock...
Just read every post in this thread. Excellent info here.
One question I didn't see an answer for though...
Is it ever a good idea to open up a perfectly working 7M, resurface the head, and replace a stock HG with a 1.37mm or 2.0mm MHG?
My Supra is basically all stock and original from...
Tried Napa, Autozone, OReilly. Nobody could get it. Not sure what the part number is. That guy from Toyota said he was gonna fax me the sheet on it but he never did.
With some additional searching, I found this thread on Supraforums that mentions the corolla valve as a good fit...
I called Toyota and they want $228! I told the guy on the phone.. dude you know we are talking about a tiny black plastic piece that is like the size a closed fist, right?
I see several offered on Ebay for around $40 that say they fit a 91 Supra, but the pictures don't look quite like the one...
I actually decided to go with NGK 5275 Double Platinums. Found them for $6.96/ea with free shipping so it came out to about $42.
I would have gone with the coppers but I don't want to have to change them as often as recommended with those.
Thanks to everyone for your input/advice.

Yah. I guess I can either get the ngk lasers for longevity or just get the autolite 3922s locally. Honeslty I think it may come down to just not wanting to wait for RockAuto to ship to me. I want to put these in tomorrow and I have an O'Reilly auto store up the street that has the 3922s in stock...
Interesting. Running the coppers vs platinums doesn't have any downsides? About how long do they last?
Also, @jdm... what exactly do you mean by this? Is this something different than just running the standard double platinums (btw.... the ngk laser platinums are $6.28/ea on RockAuto)
I thought I'd find a wealth of info on here about this but I don't see much. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place.
I have been looking for NGK double platinum, but for some reason, nobody in my area stocks them. I did find these NGK Laser Platinum plugs at my local O'Reilly store for $8.49...
Wow! I am shocked to hear so many say to go with stock rotors. I thought the MK3 brakes were sorta a weak spot.
But anyway... no my Supra is never tracked or raced or anything. In fact, I barely ever drive it but it's just around town when I do. Maybe 50 miles per week if that.
The original...
My apologies if this has already been discussed in another thread, but I searched multiple ways and came up short of finding it.
I am wondering what the best option is for replacing... (and possibly upgrading?) the stock brakes? At the moment, there are crossed drilled rotors on the front and...
So I received the 57 trim back from Albert. It looks like excellent work. The shaft feels very precise and the wheel has been clipped. I did notice that the rubber hose/clips that was attached to the turbo is missing. (The connecting hose that can be seen in the pic on page 1 of this thread). I...
I ordered this copper spray from your link and I just received it. So now I am just awaiting my 57 trim from Albert. As for the spray, how exactly should it be used. You say above to spray on the sealing surfaces. I assume that means both sides. Also, how long does it take to become tacky...
so just call the dealership and order that number? wow. I haven't bought anything from a dealership in so long... it never even crossed my mind to go through Toyota. haha. thanks GrimJack.
ok so I got the downpipe. It's a beauty! However, I did indeed receive the gaskets that you say to run away from.. even brand new.
Where can I pick up the good ones? I will order them/buy them today.
