Ill post up some pics in a while, and maybe a dyno vid. I have one making 516whp, and was busy tuning when it layed down 568whp before we lost a cylinder sleeve, and hence the 2j now.
Ironically, I have a friend with a Bimmer and a 1j swap (525gte) and this winter we are doing an intake for...
Ive got a syncrowave 250 in my garage, so I am a bit spoiled, but you can do this intake with mostly hand tools. bandsaw (and router for port cleanliness) for flange with some holesaw and diegrinder work. I have a protools bender for the runners and tho i have a smithy for making the die...
I imagine you could use something like on a sbc roots blower manifold, or even use some china wastegates with a really big spring. I see tho that the burst panel breaks and needs replaced before you can drive again. Good idea, but so far my tunes havent put me in that sutuation. I do these...
Hey guys, been building an intake for my 2j/Volvo swap and just about have it all done. Need to get the motor back in to finalize the t/b position, and then powdercoat it a satin black. Im using a 70mm BBK mustang throttle body, and Ill fit it with some Precison 1000cc injectors.

HAHA, its a sedan! Its a total sleeper. Only give away are the 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes. With a T4 6262 the car made 476whp at 20psi and the one time we made it to 27psi we made 568whp on gasoline/water-meth
And I just got the engine/tranny combo in.
Sorry for the delay in responding. Today I did some tweekin and got it all just about dialed in. I should start an intro thread, but I have a Volvo 940 that I worked over a 16 valve motor that made 568/481, modified T56 tranny and an 8.8 rearend. The motor lost a cylinder sleeve on the Dyno...
Had a friend come over today with a 1j in his Bimmer, and was able to get a really good eyeball, and looks to be 5.5 to 5.625 inches. Just about perfect for the swap.
Like alot of you guys, Im doing a 2jz swap into my car. For my swap I need to weld in the pull style clutch fork to run the clutch setup Im looking at. Can anyone with a 1jz/r154 bellhousing off the car measure from the engine mating surface to the 2 bolt locations where the clutch fork...
