Build your own? I built mine with all stainless lines, fittings, 10x10 B&M cooler, and adapters for a few hundred less than the Blitz kit. And im sure it will out perform it too...
Driftmotion? I bought new valve cover, and exhaust studs from them. Dont think they have any for the intake....
I have just purchased a ton of bolts from Fastenal. I got them because mine were old and rusty, and i wanted to have a clean looking engine bay. So new fasteners was a must for me...
Rebel XTi, or XS is hands down a much better buy. And since the XTi discontinued, they can be had for dirt cheap. I used to sell alot of SLR's when i worked at Circuit city, and the d40 just wast a great value. Id even say look at an alpha A300.
i just wanted to conferm for sure... I seem to remember reading that the stock 1jz gasket is 1.0mm, but im not certain. Can someone please confirm this?
Hey guys. I had th motor re worked, and they took .006" off the head, and none off the block. This equates to ~.16mm which means i would need a new 1.2mm gasket instead of the stock 1.0mm
I was wondering what the compression ratio would be if i were to keep the stock 1.0mm head gasket...
Would i benefit greatly with the porting? If not, i may just keep what i have and ask for some money back...
I plan to drive the car almost daily, and have close to 500whp on pump gas...
Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks!
I ordered a precision 6262 T4 turbo about 5 weeks ago. I wanted the S-Trim with the ported shroud. But the one i received wasn't ported. They say all they are willing to do is have me unbolt the compressor housing and send it to them, then they will send me the correct one.
Problem is, i...
Hate to thread jack, but i have a question about thickness... I had the head machined and the took about .006" off the deck. So that equates to ~.16 mm Thus i would need a 1.16mm HG. Is it safe to sill use the 1mm head gasket? Or will i have to suck it up and buy an hks/greddy 1.2mm?
Ditto. The MK4 pump also flows a bit more at high pressure than the walbro.
Check out driftmotion. They have all the stuff youll need for a fuel system upgrade.
Its best for our type cars to use copper plugs. This is because the copper conducts heat better than other types of plugs. Having a boosted car produces higher temps, so you want the heat to dissipate as quick as possible, thus using copper makes sense, and works best.
But there is a down side...
I second teh Falken FK452's.
I ran 245/40/17 on an 8" wide rim on the front last summer. There were wonderful for the street. They were quiet, and gripped very well. And one of the best tires ive ever felt in the rain. And to top it all off, they are very affordable.
I will be running a set...
Im getting my 1jz rebuilt , and parts and all is about 3k. Thats including all labor, and new pistons and the block getting bored +.020"
