The easiest and one of the most reliable thing to do would be to go with shim less buckets. Ill see If I can find the link for you
EDIT: heres the link http://www.alltrac.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24542 I believe there are a few threads on here as well. The other option would be to go with 2J...
Ya justin did swear by those rotors, well he was more than happy with them despite being skeptical at first I should say. How many miles did he really put on his car though. He lived 4 blocks from work
Drop your rear tire pressure go with the 17s if those are your best option, up the front pressure. No one suggested dropping the front sway endlinks??? This requires some cautious practice as the car will handle completely different.
Yep, getting close. I'm going to finally get to see your car all done this year right?
I don't have enough room to get the filter outside the bay with my current set up. My IC pipes go under the headlight now. Eventually I think I will either change that, Build a FFIM or build an air box...
I also had to modify my accordion replacement to account for no afm taking up space!!! ::w00t:: I wasn't patient enough to properly smooth out the weld as I just wanted this thing on the road! Spring took way to long this year. Ill give it some more attention down the line when I do a batch of...
How did we get from spring longevity and resilience to chassis flex?
and of course a targa will flex more than a hard top with the top removed. You are removing 4 critical tie points on the chassis. With the top on they are virtually the same other than weight. If you tweak the cars frame...
Heres another little project I started working on. Since I no longer need an AFM I had to rework my intake setup a bit. I decided to stick with the apexi filter I already had since they have the best filtration and flow.
I figured it was easy enough to make my own adaper rather than buy...
I'v been runing without a shroud for over a year so I finally dedided to glass up the crack on mine.
good as new, well stronger than new.
I should have taken a pick after it was smoothed out and hit with paint but oh well its a fan shroud right
You will need a cable that goes from serial (RC-323) to usb as I very highly doubt your computer has a serial port. Hope that helps, last I heard there were problems with the maft and Vista connecting.
yes you can tune it out, its just a matter of setting it up so it switches over to wot conditions as soon as there is positive manifold presure. You said you will be going maft pro soon correct?
My bad, lol I was guessing late 80's. Think you'll have some time durring dead week to do a little tuning?
My dad deffinately knows his stuff. Hes shown me alot but I have to give him credit for how good it looks thus far.
That head design was infact used by toyota but only in their group a race engines
Ninja Edit: beat me to it Ian
A hemipherical head really shines in race conditions as if flows very smoothly. The draw back is that it flows too smoothly and lower flow conditions suffer due to a lack of...
Thats one of the bigest problems with the factory ecu tune. At cruise when put under just enough load to build a few lbs of boost the ecu doesnt richen up and switch to open loop. These conditions will lead to detonation, and contribute to the 7m blowing factory head gaskets so easily. This is...
