When I get my car done at the end of the month, you line up? You have a bigger turbo than me, but I bet that I'll give you a little more of a run than that evo did!
Which model did you use? I have a 7M, I would love to have those 2 features!! I'll buy one asap!
Grim, I've called you a couple of time and left one message from my new number. I'll pm it to you. BTW, I don't abuse the turbo or car, I just drive it SPIRITEDLY, and just to make sure the...
The Stinger is good, only reason why I didn't go with it yet is because it doesn't have a launch control feature. the AEM does and the prices are coming down on them. I've been looking into the MAP ECU2 as long as I can figure out the timing, if I can I'll have it.
It's all about how much you want to spend, with the GT35r you are going to have to buy a new manifold, and a new downpipe, where the JT58 will bolt right up. Make sure you get some sort of fuel management like a SAFR or SAFC, or MAFT Pro
I have:
3" turbo back exhaust, dp and cat back,
680's now 580's is plenty
JE pistons,
NGK wires/plugs
LEX AFM
HKS SAFR
titan HG with ARP's
turbo xs mbc
fmic with 2.5" pipes
Tial Q bov
Koyo Radiator
Custom intake
Greddy Catch Can
Walbro Pump
Aeromotive AFPR
That's all the main...
I have this turbo and it's great! I was running some 680 injectors (580's now) at 19psi making 429rwhp and 446rwtq on pump gas. With race and some more boost and better tune I'll hit 500rwhp with ease.
I get 19psi by 3800rpms and it pulls all the way to redline. The ball bearing will make...
What's wrong with the fidanza? I had one on my car for over 4 years with no problem with about 80 drag passes. The only reason why I switch back to stock was because of the clutch that I have.
I have this mod on my car if I were you first thing that I would get would be a SAFR or SAFC plus a wideband so you can control the fuel more. Supracentral is right about the pressure, you don't need a AFPR until you get a walbro pump and you start boosting alot more.
Wow that car sounded good!
But give those guys credit, because they are still using the stock intake manifold on the 2J as well as not going to crazy on the motor and putting it in a MK3!
The rear end is the differential! There is a thread on SF about Joliroger rebuilding it and adding shims and taking out the crush sleeve.
Get you some traction arms if you want or take yours off and see if they are straight and if so go to a machine and have them beefed up a little.
But...
I'm doing some thing similar. Going for 420rwhp everyday and just over 500rwhp on race gas. For my goal for now I'll be running a LEX afm and HKS SAFR with some 680cc injectors. I ran on this setup for over 4 years over 400rwhp and was fine. But I want a little more, now so rebuilding my...
Get some drag radials for the strip! probably one of the best things you can do. Also rebuild your rear end if needed, doesn't cost very much. I'll have my car together by the end of next month and will be heading out to the strip in July if you want to tag along.
I've been wondering if I need these. I'm doing a rebuild right now and was thinking about just sticking with my stock rods and bolts. I have put over 400rwhp on them for the past 4 years and my goal is just to hit 500rwhp at the most when I go to the drag strip and dyno. I don't have any...
What is Zygloed? I want to make sure everything is right this time around. My goal is 500-525rwhp max with race gas. I know that this isn't that much to some of you, but I want to make sure the motor can handle it fine. Low 11's is what I'm after so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys, and Fred, yes I'm keeping her and trying to get her back on the road again in the next two weeks. I sent off my injectors to be flow tested and cleaned, to make sure they are fine. I'm not getting rid of the Boss turbo either, my goal is to just max it out with my system this...
