What i have is a n/a supra with bad internals ( head gasket and bearings to be exact.) I just recently bought a 7mgte shortblock ( block, head, complete valve train, water pump, exhaust manifold and lower intake manifold,) from a friend in oceanside. Since this engine is missing all bolt-ons...

so since the heads and block are almost the same,that means i can bolt all my ge externals to the gte (my alternator, p/s pump, intake manifold, etc etc etc...) right?

FINALLY FOUND THE RATTLE, the cat converter shield is not screwed in so its hitting the pipe and causing a rattle, the oil change was just coincidental, i might of moved it when i was installing the filter, thanks for everyones help

1 more question.. is there any way to get it off of an auto without an impact gun or bumping the starter because i need to get 1 off at the junkyard and i wont be able to start any cars up and i dont have an impact gun

lol, learned the hard way. i didnt realize how fast it turns and i figured i could just hold it and had my girl crank it and it smacked me right in the head and sent me stumbling a couple feet back seeing colors

hello i have a 2jzge lexus and the crank pulley basically broke in 2 pieces and i need to get that bolt off but dont know how to with an auto trans searched every thread related to this and it only showed how to torque the bolt back on, is this the same thing in reverse???
