i havent gotten to the tps because i dont have an ohmmeter... the smoke comes from the exhaust.. i've gotten rid of all the smoke before for about a week and then i messed withthe tps and it all came back so thats what i figured it was but other people said the tps wouldnt cause smoke
i finally got it, i used some pliers and when it came out i flew back like 30 feet and did 2 backflips and landed on my stomach and then rolled down a hill into a sea of sharks. but im ok now.. its out lol
i am replacing my plugs and i came across a stuck plug, i yank it pretty hard and everything came out except for the metal inside the wires, i tried everything from tweezers to fingernails, my hands are all bloody and im going mentally insane... any suggestions?
i have a stick with a stage 2 or 3 i think i don't really know because i didn't put it in... it belonged to an asian guy and if did a couple mods... 2.5 inch exhaust cai and the clutch
ok so i got almost all of the smoke taken care of.
i replaced all of my vacuums for the hose technique blue vacuums (it looks great! will post pics soon)
i cleaned my pcv (it was disgusting) but i still need to replace the little rubber hoses they dont seem to be doing there job very well...
ok so if i had a 2jz than it would be better to switch the top to a 1jz top... and if i had a 1jz than it is better to switch the cams for the 2jz cam.. by the looks of it and by all the parts you are able to interchange between the 2 engines they are like fraternal twins
well thats not bad especially for my first swap.. i also heard about a 2jz head on a 1jz bottom but nobody ever explained that to me.. what exactly is the benefits when you do this?
what is mainly the difference in the 1jz and the 2jz, is it just the amount in torque? i was only looking into nippon because it was a cheap engine with free shipping i didnt know they were crap. i will now look into the ijz clip driftmotin has... thanks for the advice
i have been looking for a 2jz for a couple days. i found a cheap front clip from driftmotion for 2800 plus whatever the shipping is.
i also have another site called nippon motors that charges 1950 for the supra engine, not aristo:icon_bigg . they will also ship it to me for free since i live...
you think i would be able to make up for these lost numbers with 2 decent sized/ rated upgrades? i wouldnt mind a big single either though, i just liked the look of the tt but i didnt know it was a crappy setup... thanks for the support suprahero... btw my girlfriend just fell in love with that...
so if you have 1 big turbo you would gain more than twin? because i like the whole idea of twin, the way it hisses, looks, and especially would love to brag about my twin turbocharged car. but i dont really know much about turbo because i never actually had a turbocharged car.
also if it is...
i dont lose coolant.. the bhg light is not on. but im not sure because there is alot of power shorts in my dash like my a/c controller... i dont think i looked at my pcv system.. i am also 100% positive he used sealant because i bought the sealant for him to use on the i/m gasket and i was...
so ya think its something i wont be able to fix myself? i did most of the work on the car myself and i dont really have the money to take the car to anyone.. its the holidays.. maybe if i try and explain a little to kinda help you determine what is causing this or what i did wrong??
also.. when i start the car it doesn't smoke, when i rev it for the first couple times it smokes a little but when the car is a little warmer is when it blows big clouds like you see at a barbecue
ok i started with my intake manifold.. the "mechanic" who did the manifold for me plugged all my vacuums in wrong, broke a few connectors and filled them up with sealant
i cleaned my injectors
i redid all my vacuums.. they all work and are in the right place
i rewired my knock sensor...
ok so i just rewired my knock sensor to finally clear my error codes and get rid of the rest of the smoke from burning rich.. about 3 days later i checked my codes again to make sure the ks wires didnt disconnect from when i reinstalled my glove and i discovered the 51.. so i moved my tps around...
stage 3?? i would go with the competition because they are cheap but if you are gonna be abusing the tranny than the clutchmaster would be safer because they are well known and well respected and if they are sponsered in need for speed then you know they must be reliable.
