I swear it takes me twice as long to post if johnny posts first, that signature is hypnotizing.......
I have no clue how to train the pig, but I do know what to do if you end up not being able to train it :)
I've purchased no fewer than five SC's for less than 3k in the past six or seven months, they are definitely out there if you're willing to settle for a 92-93
Mileage is not a real concern with SC's, the only real issues are bleeding climate control displays, dead gauge needles, bad LCA...
Those most definitely aren't rear brakes, it's a kit for the front.
IJ, play nice :) I wonder how much piston area there is on those calipers. There's at least a whole bunch more seals that can give out :P
There's no way that was done in 20 days, especially if you were using the proper antifreeze/water mixture. That block has been jacked up for a lot longer than 20 days I guarantee you.
The kit worked just fine with straight couplers on my car, but it was a very tight fit. The one long pipe that has a bracket is supposed to bolt on to one of the bolts for the swaybar bracket. The clamps I provided are really nice quality liner clamps, I've never had a problem with one popping...
That's a lot more torque than I was expecting, I bet that thing is a blast :)
I just want 500hp/500tq on pump gas, we'll see what it takes to get my 7m to hit that :naughty:
I went ahead and installed 1j rod bearings, apparently God forged them better when he got around to the 1j. :sarcasm:
I would normally tend to agree, but a fuel pressure regulator is a horrendously simple device. Ethically I don't like the fact that they just made a direct copy of Aeromotive's regulator, but the quality looks just fine. I'd be far more concerned about a wastegate than I would be a regulator...
Good grief Evolution, you sure showed that subframe who's boss.
I'm going to measure and see if the 240SX bushing inserts will fit, so I'm definitely going to check out my subframe while the car is on the lift. Too many horror stories floating around.
I helped build the car that broke the record and I guarantee you we would be in the low tens if we had a tranny that shifted hard and a set of cams to liven up the top end a bit.
I'd love to see nines on stock twins with a bit of nitrous :)
To the guy who ran his mouth about the car being...
Unless you work on 2jz's, then all the studs have torx ends and you can just use a socket to remove them :)
I need to buy a full set of studs for the 2jz to put on my 7m, they're so much easier to work with.
Looks like it was destined for the US originally since the seal says "not for use in california". There could be a california in japan, but I haven't been there.
You crank up the boost on the car and hit the dyno.
If it leans out and blows up at 450whp you've got 440's
If it leans out and blows up at 550+whp you've got 550's :)
Best and safest way is to send them out to be cleaned and flow tested. That'll give you guaranteed info and peace of mind.
I'm guessing you didn't just drop $3k+ on a Motec if you can't even spell it.
Got any pictures of your motor for the unbeliever in me?
Also, somebody with the cash to fund a build such as the one you've suggested would probably not be trying to decide which ebay turbo will work best...
