Well... sorry for lack of updates and pics, but been super busy. I finally have everything in the engine bay completely cleaned and ready for the head. The head itself is almost there, still cleaning :D. I got my engine rebuild gasket set today... and I have no idea where 90% of the stuff goes...

awesome thanks for tips!!! pm sent also discovered why i had oil all over the lower portion of engine... my cps had NO O-ring between it and the head... *sigh

hmm sounds good... does wd-40 work as tap oil?? man.. trying to find gaskets... and the best place i can find em is horsepowerfreaks... except their s/h is outrageous...

hmm perhaps when I'm done I'll do an engine bay shoot :D now the question at hand... is it REALLY supposed to be this diffucult to clean the bolt holes on the block??? the tap im using that driftmotion offers get so tight halfway down that i literally have to put all my strength into it to...

found the remains of the dead moth... very macabre after some 80 grit after a whole day of scrubbing... for the bay and scraping for the block not as clean as I'd like it... so more work tomorrow to finalize the bay, then on to the head and manifold and finalizing the turbo my huge...

oh yah i can testify to how much goes into hand polishing valve covers... =O can't wait to see it all out together :D

Yes and no... It wasn't the actual 7mgte kit. I got the spearco replica IC with the 2.5 inch universal piping kit. Also note that I took driftmotion's idea of cutting off the narrow end of the 3k pipe so I can run 2.5 all the way through (except the turbo at 2in...) LoL Boostcraver yeah... I...

Ok... updates.. had a ton of help from SA Supra, thanks man!!! we got the head off today :D Old pics: I painted the Apex'i adapter and sanded the letters so they shine through the paint And the valve covers after 80 grit

anybody having issues with the idk wut you call em... mud daubers? the wasp-like insects that fly around with balls of mud in their mouth so they can make mud nests everywhere... very annoying

yeah idk... its pretty even on the spray or don't spray... the only thing I'm sure of is that you DO NOT spray metal headgaskets... but nobody said it's BAD to spray an oem HG...
