I would really like to use the diff for the 4.10 gearing since I drag a fair bit. Will it atleast handle warming the tires and launching on slicks?
Im pretty sure the coolant bottle was crunched on impact but if its good ill let it go.
Check for any possible leaks in the accordion pipe. They get super brittle over time and when installing the lex afm it stretches it out a lot. Its also quiet possible the AFM you got from that mechanic is partly failed too. Might be a good idea to throw a boost leak tester on since the system...
Ive done a fair bit of searching for information on the JDM TTR's out there and its pretty limited... I made a score and bought one with body damage from a buddy who pulled the engine and trans for his rx7. So now I have a complete rolling shell in great shape (besides front right corner) to...
I also put in randy's solid sub frame bushing and WOW that helped with the cornering ability along with the wheel hop. Also stopped the banging when going over large speed bumps.. lol
This. I beefed up the stock traction arms with heavy walled pipe and a mig welder. Worked like a beauty with the hopping. Was basically a free mod too as I found left overs of piping and used my works welder :icon_bigg
After the machining is done to head and block to prep for MHG, a 1.2mm will be too thin. a 2mm will be the thickness you want.

read up on the sticky btw ^^
Its about that time again and the car is under the knife. Motor and tranny is pulled now. Going to put in a thicker metal head gasket as well as a heli coil stud kit on the exhaust side since they are starting to pull out. The R154 is getting a full rebuild with new syncro's and bearings along...
damn man too bad on the bhg. your not to only one having issues with the stock shitty 7M computer. Waaay too much timing in them down low. 4K rpm is where the det would get me without race fuel.
Is your 7M modified? A little ping and tripping the det senor kills plugs fast. I went through maybe 3 sets of plugs in about 2 months before figuring it out. At 12psi it was fine. If I ran 14psi+ I just put 20L of C12 race fuel in on a full tank and had no problems with ping or killing plugs.
engine degreaser and power washer on a LOW level works well. just have to stay away from rubber lines, electronics or anything that can get damaged by water.
I had the same problems as a lot of you guys with common mods. This is some of the things I found during the tuning and figuring out the 7M.
The hot start issue that was happening for the first 10-20 seconds was the AFM electronics failing.
The miss at idle was associated with the lex...
