Well... pics to come, but I discovered I have one of those rare 7M cranks... too bad it's ruined by spun rod bearing. Piston one... only half of a bearing left.
I think it's because it acutally pulls on the edge of cylinder one, so if you leave it off during machining, sylinder one will deform slightly when it is torqued down later. I think.
Also make sure he has a torque plate.
And have you considered a crank scraper? At high power levels I'm fairly certain a good crank scraper will make a HUGE difference. Also there are really great piston/eagle rod combos for sale on ebay. I just purchased my JE pistons with Eagle rods from...
Sup guys, just wanted to let ya'll know I haven't forgotten you =D I shall have sexy parts pictures posted here soon. Right now I am in a waiting mode for parts and for the torque plate.

Nothing wrong with an auto... especially if you're keeping the power level to 500ish. The few mods necessary to ensure the tranny can handle the power while performing well are much less expensive than a manual conversion. And the plus-side? have chance to go fast, mash throttle, uninterrupted...
Haha thanks!!
by motor swap I assume you mean forsaking my 7M??? NEVAR!!! LoL
and for the interior... I do plan on gutting it, redoing any wiring that needs done, maybe stitch welding, removing all the old nasty sound deadener and replacing with newer more effective and much lighter material...
Oh thank you!! I found a similar thread on SF, but it was not as detailed as the one you provided. I haven't yet had a chance to tinker with the wires yet as I'm still focused on just getting the car running, but I will definitely refer back to said thread when it comes time for me to do the wiring.
