i dont like skimping on areas that are very important. for example, pistons, clutch, exhaust manifold. i got an expensive rsr exhaust, but it wasn't completely nessesary. exhausts are one of the things that you can skimp on, cause if it screws up, it doesn't ruin anything else.

just make sure to get the bushings from marlincrawler.com this is an ABSOLUTE must. changed my life!

i read that bpu mkiv's can do around 300kph or about 186mph. my car should hit 160 easy. however, i don't know my rear end ratio. i have 275 40 17's with on an 88 turbo 5 speed.

haha........ oil bath. i rebuilt a lawn mower engine that had an oil bath filter. can't possibly be efficient....... and i run a k&n and love it

your components never really matched though. why get cams springs and retainers when you're on the stock turbo, and you have no timing control. doesn't make sense. plus stuff like hoses, plugs, wires, and timing belts adds up quick. anyone can make up a list that costs $3000, but your order...

well, i have an 88 so i can rev to 6.5k rpms. right now, the turbo pulls hardest to 5.8-6.0k rpms. i believe cams, port and pollish and a tune could equate to over 50 rwhp. I don't mind moving the powerband up a little. The turbo spools real fast. I never race anybody at 3k rpms, and i...
