    Identifty these 1JZ Harness Connectors

The bottom black connectors are your main power and engine to engine bay chassis connections that go by the fuse box. You must have a harness other then the supra because those are like the MkIV connectors. The top pic is a bread board where somebody installed a new circuit or tried to...

    Importing from Japan.

There is more then one way to skin a cat but the juice is definitely not worth the squeeze and most certainly not for a car that is sold domestically. If you are determined then go beat the bushes and there will be people that are more then happy to take your money. In the end though the...

    Importing from Japan.

I have bought several supras in japan. Had them stripped and shipped over all the parts. I would never try to import a JDM car and try to get it legalized for the road. It would cost an insane amount of money compared to the value of the car. If you wanted it for track only then it would be...

    n8's mkIII

That is a popular choice of engines. Economical and strong. Seems to be the hot hand for V8 power at the moment. The lsx motors seem to be light years ahead of the lt series. Can't wait to see it make a pass. What do you think of the 4l60e so far? I have been batting around the...

    Old Skool 92

I have been 1jz, 2jz, 1uz. Not really a swap I haven't done to a supra. I have owned mk2s, mk3s. and mk4s. I always come back to the mk3 and it seemed poetic to stick with the 7m. The engine that started it all for me. Got some more odds and ends sitting in the STL for me. HKS VPC, 60-1...

    Old Skool 92

I have been working on odds and ends and details from a car that has been off the road for the past 8 months. Getting everything sorted out and put back together. Got it to the point I could take her out for a spin tonight. It was nice but she was rattling hard. Oh yeah you need to shut the...

    TSRM prices went up

I just ordered the TSRM repair manual and EWD for my 92 and it seems that toyota has outsourced the manuals. They are now sold by Helm at 1-800-782-4356. I was also shocked to discover that the price of the EWD skyrocketed. It went from $28 to $60. Be prepared if you intend to order manuals...

    Old Skool 92

It has been many years since I have owned a Mk3 supra and it would seem things have come full circle. I just brought home a black/black 92. It has fresh paint and work equips. It has a 7m and I decided I am going to stick with it. I have been 1j and 2j and those motors just don't excite me...

Any experience with Portable Garages? Portable Carports? Car Shelters?

Actually you can get a shipping container for ~$800 and it is yours. There is a place here in the QC that sells and delivers them. If you look around there is probably a place near you. I don't know if you can buy a POD to keep on your own property.

    compound turbo set up

Compound boost is best used in a diesel set up to achieve 30+ psi. Otherwise what other reason would there be to multiply your boost. It is essentially a waste and excessive in a spark ignition vehicle.

    compound turbo set up

Is there a reason you want to run 40-60psi? This is the only real reason to assemble such a complicated system.

Will a ISCV off a 1J work with the 7M ECU?

It should be the exact same thing. If it is a 6 wire stepper IAC then it will operate correctly.

    engine harness differences

Take a few pics and post them up. There is more then one guy on SM that could tell you in a few seconds with some pics of said harness.

    engine harness differences

Big plug going down below the intake manifold. The auto has a bunch more wires while the manual only has the back up light plug and the abs plug. Also on the chassis plugs there will be a bunch more wires on one of the plugs, usually a long narrow plug with 2 rows. The year of the harness...
