There will always be a benefit to running a larger diamiter exhaust on a turbo aplication, but unless your heading north of 500whp the gains wont be significant.

By ebay I take it you mean the cheap ones? As you can buy brand names off ebay. I have no experiance with them but from what I've seen and heard the diaphragms tend to burst (which isn't a good thing) could end up with an engine fire in the worst case scenario.
Sounds like you have a fuel pickup problem. A downpipe will make a fair bit of difference, that cat has seen 20 years service so will be fairly clogged and supplying your turbo with backpressure that it doesn't need or want. Get some 3" pipe and make your own exhaust let the engine breath...
Wait, that is one uneven drive way. Last time I jacked my car up the suspension had at least 6" of droop. The only way that could happen is if the car han no suspension like a kart chassis.
I think 1bar is a good number to stay around with any ct26 upgrade, some people push them harder maybe 18 - 20psi but if it was my turbo I wouldn't risk it.
