They will most likely hold the power you are wanting, the determining factor to how long the motor lasts is how well you built it, how close you payed attention to the fine details, and how well you have the motor tuned.
These pistons are light like JE's and have a crown similar to a CP IIRC.
Cliff notes: Engineers design parts to work the best way they possibly can. The company they are made for usually changes the design to be more costs effective and still get by with it's main function, however flawed it may now be with it's new design.

If you get a Synapse Sychronic, there is an adaptor that they make for theirs to fit onto the bov to keep it from sucking in air at idle. Search for it on streetfire, there's a vid on there with one installed.
