if using the mk4 tt rims, then a 20mm spacer in front and a 8-10mm spacer in the rear should give a close to flush look without rubbing. im currently putting together a wheel offset guide so i had the numbers infront of me.

if you get spacers that are less than 25mm, then make sure the wheels you are going to use have enough "relief" for the cars studs and the lugs that hold the spacer on. i believe our studs are 1 inch (=25.4mm) so a 25mm spacer will fit even if there is no refief holes in the wheel. a 20mm...

not sure what you mean by cheap, but it does look better in person. if you are referring to the loose look, thats only because its not atatched to the frame. once i do that, it will look tight like stock.

if you use straight hose, it WILL pinch. if you have the old hose then you can play the match game at the parts store, otherwise its only like 25-32 clams at the stealership.

yeah i reused the steel wires. heck, i dont even remember getting flexible thread. maybe they left it out of my kit. or more likely, its somewhere in the bottom of my closet next to the seat heaters.:dunno:
