Well if your fine when cruising and have problems at WOT and idle and mabe your real low RPMS your egr could cause your symtoms.

Have you looked at the EGR? An easy way to tell is if you go WOT and it doesnt sputter.

I'm seriously considering it, plus it will be a lot easier with it off.

Are you sure it wasnt 183-185K ohms. Sometimes I over look that.
