It was running fine until I removed the leaking distributor and installed the rebuilt dist. I tried several times to get it started but it ran rough. I just wanted to remove the cover to see if the timing belt is still in time.

I see, its the thermostat housing that it hangs up on. Its not worth the mess to remove it just to check the timing.

Did Toyota sell '87 turbo Supra? When I go to web sites, they usually ask if its a turbo or n/a when I get to the motor selection. I called Toyota dealer about my rack for the steering and he said there is no turbo in 87, is he correct?

I took the rack off as the pass side boot was leaking. The driver side boot was full of oil too. It doesn't look like there is a seal for the driver side. Should the driver side boot be full of oil? Should there be oil in the pass side? Is the pass side the only side with a seal on the rack? If...

I am going with a OEM rebuild. I will replace the lines too. Do I need to replace the tie rod ends? Do they get damaged when removing them? What is the banjo bolt that should be replaced? I found it on a search.

Has anyone just replaced the seals? My boot is fine so its just the seal that is leaking.

Any one know what the difference between the companies that sell rebuilt racks? Do they all come with inner tie rods? What else do I need to replace when replacing the rack?
