    not sure about top speeds and 1/4 mile speeds, because you could still do a 30 sec quarter in a geo, even with 430 gears. It should improve your time (with a healthy car) by at least a half a second

    I would have to say I agree with every opinion on this thread, if that's possible. I think I would get Johnny Law and find out what I could do to this guy to let him know I meant business. If the title is in your friends name, I would definitely get the law involved. I had a step mother...

    going from 391 to 430 is definitely a noticable difference, will accelerate harder, but at the cost of top speed. And just take the drive gear out of the car you get the diff out of. Or any other 430 car, for that matter.

    wow, sounds like the guy (stepfather) has some anger management issues. It seems to be a problem maybe the mother and son can solve by approaching the dad. Or just light his (stepdad's) car on fire.

    they are great cars, they just need a little fixin. Get a shop to check for exhaust gasses in the cooling system, check for water in the oil, just do the general stuff. If your coolant level is not dropping, and your car doesn't ever get hot, chances are it's not a bhg.

    just retorque the head bolts to about 70lbs, get some exhaust and intake, then turn up the boost to like 11 lbs, you'll be happy. After that, MHG, lexus/550s, or maft, walbro, afpr, then you'll be able to go about 13-14, then it's time for aftermarket/ or upgraded ct 26

    Of course, if you don't have a mhg, and you pull the head off to check for BHG, then you ruin the gasket and have to replace it anyway. Be sure before you go ripping off the top of your engine.

    check coolant temp sensor, and check for a plugged cat, though I think if it runs good when warm, it's probably not the cat...

    most riders have a govenor of some sort, although yours may be the exception. put a larger carbuerator on it, and a tubular intake manifold, it should be as simple as making a coulple flanges.

    no way- big block chevys weigh in at about 680lbs fully dressed, cast iron heads and all that. for the 7m and r154, you're probably looking at 550 lbs maybe 600 tops.

    Here's one- its a four stroke engine, right? It could benefit from port and polish, mill the head for more compression, and take the governor off. that should get you going.

    happened to me in my car, I was playing pool in Portland, and somebody backed into my door and drove off. But the parking lot was monitered by cameras due to vandalism, so we caught the guy
