it is just a dust cover and you can remove it....but it does have groves cut in the top that are needed to time your cams to the cam pulleys....keep the plate for if you ever do a timeing belt replacement or for whatever...
You can put it back on put the pulleys back on but don't tighten...
this whole idea seems like a tank full of fail!!! Why can't you just use a 255 and be happy like everyone else...going against the grain is usually not the best move...
I have a friend with a supercharged 5.0 and he has a similar setup and he can't go wot for long at all cause his stock pump...
no such thing as a reliable stock nonrebuilt 7m....buy a cheap long block and rebuild it useing the advice on this forum...a basic rebuild "refresher" could cost as little as $600 in total all the way up to however far you want take your supra "hp goals"...

just wondering...when you hear the noise, are you under 2000rpm and a higher gear "let's say 3rd" and trying to drive slow and easy to save gas? Sounds to me like your just lugging your engine and your hearing chatter.
don't really agree with that....if your not after huge power than a piggy will get you your 350hp just fine and keep your motor running effeciently! Piggybacks have a purpose and they do a damn good job for what they are...
Stock hardware is good stuff...arp is better but stock is more than...
keep in mind you get what you pay for...
A2motorsports has good sway bars for around $300 maybe cheaper but shipping may put you just above $300....great place to shop....look up ckanderson and he will hook you up.
