You need to resort to the "shade tree method".
Have somebody press down the pedal and hold it while you open the valve. Close it and have them release the pedal and do it again. It will work.
I think you are running into an issue with the vacuum "one man" kit.
If that doesnt work just take a string, wrap it around the path of the belt and measure it. Then you know how long of belt you need. Just be sure to get the belt with the right rib pattern
More pictures.
The first two pictures show where you need to smooth. These are the sharpest corners of the port and where you will see the biggest gain.
The first two pictures are after the grinding stone. #3 is a completed shot down the intake with a closeup of the exhaust valve seat. #4 shows how to cut down the short turn radius and protect the valve seats.
#5 shows how the intake ports should look. The exhaust ports may have a small...
I posted this on clubna-t but I thought some of you guys could use it as well. This is the head of a 2jzge that im going na-t with.
First and foremost, I want to let everybody know that you should not change the basic shape of the port!!! REMEMBER THIS ABOVE ALL OTHER THINGS. I do not claim...

But, if you already have a setup for a 7MGTE and dont have a front facing intake this should mate up to your IC pipes pretty...
Yes - I cant think of one reason why not. I wish I would have had the opportunity to go this route sooner
Keep in mind that only recently have the ebay manifolds become available. Everybody talks trash about them because they are inexpensive. I got one from a guy in Canada- braces included...

Im turning the front fog light holes into ducts for air intake and probably an oil cooler duct of sorts.
2jzget for me!
My engine gasket set should be here on Thursday - then I can put the rest of this beast together and take some pics of it on the engine stand.
I would recommend taking the shortblock apart and cleaning out the piston ring lands though. I cleaned a shitload of crap out of...
Just in case you are wondering how the stock rods hold up, it looks like a GT42 running 35psi and pushing a Ford Probe into the low 9s (yes I know it sounds wierd) finally did it in.
