Ok looks like ill get the brackets and inserts. The tab is on the subframe or mount? I know the pre 89s have a little tab on the subframe under the mount.Im hoping to just raise the engine up in a bay a few inches and swap them out.

what year mk4? From what ive read 97+ are different? Also can anyone confirm if i can or cant use pre 89 or mk4 brackets?

So currently im using pre 89 square brackets with the pre 89 square rubber mounts in a 89 chassis. I can obviously feel the engine is not set 100% and would like to change them out before i hurt the drive train or exhaust.. My question is, to use mk4 motor mounts, do i need to get 89+ brackets...

ok well i know the EFI relay has no power. If the CPS has a bad connection would it cause the ECU to not have power? Heres the diagram, but im not clear on what exactly it shows lol.

haha yes, the ECU ground is fine, i just checked it. The CPS,TPS, and coil are all getting no power when the key is ON. Where does the ECU draw its power from? The ECU-IGN fuse is fine.

Ok so then if the cps does the fuel pump, would it also control spark? As Im not getting either of them. I'm leaning towards the ECU, as the CEL doesn't come on when I turn the key.

Yes i played with the CPS for a very long time. But i dont see how the CPS would affect fuel?

Engine had Rod knock on 1/2 an arm :/. So i took it out and as it was at the machine shop mr. zumtizzle offered me a fully rebuilt engine for about the same cost as getting new bearings and machine work. So within the next few weeks ill be picking it up and putting the engine in. So hopefully...
