since its vehicle speed dependent its not the pilot bearing.
could be the driveshaft carrier bearing, or something up front like a loose ball joint or wheel bearing.

i had these kick ass little stuffed potato type things which i think ive also had something similar at an indian place. they were very good but the name of them escapes me at the moment.

usually if the car was running good before a repair/mod and then you have a problem after the repair/mod then that is most likely the source of the problem.
go over everything you touched and look for mistakes.
how major is the misfire? is it as if an injector or spark plug wire is not connected?
you may have left a connection loose, either the coil packs, injectors, or plugs.
check everything you removed and double check your wiring.
it may be:
a. none of the above
b. all of the above
c. some of the above
check your vacuum source. is it good?
check your vacuum at idle. is that good?
if you have a good vacuum source there is probably something wrong with the BOV. whether it is mis adjusted or faulty that is for you...
most places will probably not do just a head gasket job.
the problem is there is too great a risk for failure when you simply pull the head and replace the head gasket.
they really dont have a way of knowing if the bearings were damaged by water contaminated oil, or damaged by detonation...
