i think you are misunderstanding a few concepts of basic turbo charger operation.
try the howstuffworks website or wikipedea and read up on how turbo's actually work.

very true however, and i think ive asked this question before with no real answers coming up, Japanese domestic 7m's come with no EGR valve, so where is the difference that makes those motors run within a safe margin as compared to a USDM 7M running with no EGR vavle?

you have to check your error codes. what you are describing could be timing related or you could have a bad AFM or some other things.
check your codes. there is no "tool" to check codes. you can search to find out how to do it.

ok the mkiii came with two different manual transmissions.
the r154 and the w58.
the r154 has a pull type clutch disengagement system which requires you to remove the fork (or PP) to remove the transmission from the engine.
the w58 uses a push type which does not require this for removal.
