why not get a blown engine off craigslist for like $200 and then rebuild that... a completely stock rebuild wouldnt cost you much, and your shell is probably in better condition. for $1500-$2000 your buying what? a car with some insane milage?

I have a momo wheel that i was going to transfer from the 86.5 to my new 90, but my 90 has an airbag... and i know i'll have to get rid of cruise control, which isnt a big deal, but how hard/easy is it to get all of the airbag stuff off?

i would just cut the crank to whatever would make all of the nastyness go away, either .10 or .20. and then get new bearings, shim the oil pump 5-8mm, and do a bunch of other stuff...
if you were leaking that 14psi into the oil pan wouldnt that mean your rings never set in?
And if the race shop builds supra motors, i dont see why he just didnt cut the crank and set the proper oil clearance. what was the condition of the crank before the rebuild? rod knock?

there just OEM replacement pistons... its not like hes saying that hes getting forged pistons for $150. They should be fine. just be careful and make sure they arent some weird ebay brand....
i would ditch the 89 for the 92, as the 92 is a much more valued car.
and you cant run a supra without an ecu...
and n/a are distributor and the turbos are coil pack, so no plug and play... just swap wire harnesses. and somebody should have an ECU for an 89+ turbo car. same with the...
